Job summary
RNWBL provides specialized technical services to renewable energy and power generation sectors across the United States. The Senior High Voltage Technician role focuses on testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of high‑voltage equipment, serving as a technical lead and trainer for field crews across substations and switchgear.
You will ensure safety, compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, NERC and IEEE standards, and contribute to project planning and execution within the HV/MV Services
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 5+ years in electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV power systems.
- Experience with transmission/distribution substations 4 kV–500 kV.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HV equipment.
- Lead field crews during testing and commissioning activities.
- Mentor junior technicians and review procedures and reports.
- Prepare field service reports and test documentation.
