Job summary

RMS Energy Co is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to lead field crews, perform testing and commissioning across power plants, substations, and industrial facilities. You’ll own day-to-day site operations and mentor technicians, upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power systems, NETA Level III/IV preferred, and deep knowledge of protection & control, relay testing, and HV commissioning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in power plant, utility, or industrial power systems.
• NETA Level III or IV strongly preferred; journeyman or equivalent advanced credentials also accepted.
• Expert-level experience with protection & control systems, relay testing, and high-voltage commissioning.
• Strong documentation skills using Microsoft Office and PowerDB.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and commissioning plans for new systems, retrofits, and upgrades.
• Supervise onsite field crews; mentor technicians and enforce safety standards.
• Maintain detailed test reports, service records, and commissioning documentation.
• Serve as lead field contact for clients and coordinate project requirements.
