Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide technical and organizational leadership within our Power and Energy practice. You will guide HV substation design projects, mentor staff, and drive excellence in engineering deliverables for a diverse client base.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of AIS/GIS substations, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Travel may be required; frequency varies.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV substation design projects from 230kV to 345kV.
• Review deliverables to meet standards and client needs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for full project delivery.
• Develop engineering standards and drive continuous improvement.
