Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer / Regional Technical Leader to provide technical and organizational leadership in our Power and Energy practice. Lead HV substation design from 230kV to 345kV, serving as EOR and guiding a team.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, PE license, and proven ability to drive project delivery, mentorship, and client relationships across multiple offices and regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline; PE license preferred.
• 15+ years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Experience delivering HV substation projects from 13.8kV to 345kV; AIS/GIS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, execution, and delivery of HV substation projects from 230kV to 345kV.
• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and technical authority for substation physical design.
• Mentor engineers and designers; support business development and client relationships.
