Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Senior Substation Physical Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide technical and organizational leadership within our Power and Energy practice. Lead HV substation design, act as EOR, and mentor engineers across multiple offices.

You will guide complex project execution, support business growth, and ensure quality, safety, and client satisfaction while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license required or eligible for licensure in the United States.
• 15 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for HV substation design from 230kV to 345kV.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets, schedules, resources, and client satisfaction.
• Support business development, client relationships, and proposals.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
