Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer and Regional Technical Leader to provide technical and organizational leadership in our Power and Energy practice. You will act as a technical authority for substation physical design, lead complex HV projects, and mentor engineers across multiple offices.

This role leads the design of HV substations from 230kV to 345kV, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and drives quality and growth while supporting client service and business

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
15 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Lead HV substation design projects ranging from 230kV to 345kV.
Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and technical authority for substation physical design.
Mentor engineers and manage team performance.
Oversee project staffing, budgets, and schedules.
Support business development and client relationship management.
