Job summary

General Motors Energy Conversion Systems seeks a Senior High Voltage Power Electronics PCB Designer to lead PCB layout for Traction Inverter and other HV power electronics. You will collaborate with PCBA engineers, EMC, manufacturing, and QA to deliver robust designs and comprehensive release processes.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 6+ years of PCB layout experience, leadership capability, and expertise in IPC standards and eCAD Xpedtion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years PCB layout experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Expert knowledge of IPC standards and implementations.
• Experience with eCAD Xpedtion tool.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB layout design for Traction Inverter and HV power electronics.
• Collaborate with PCBA engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain PCB BOD, DRC, DFM, and templates.
• Ensure high-current routing, thermal relief, and EMI control.
• Release documentation and library management.
