Job summary
Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Senior High Voltage Electrical Engineer to lead HV design for hyperscale data centers, including 4.16kV-35kV distribution and 69kV-230kV substations. You will shape system architectures, support interconnections, and guide critical facilities through design and commissioning.
Responsibilities include HV system design, utility coordination, and technical leadership across multi-building campuses; experience with SKM/ETAP/EasyPower and NEC/IEEE
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- 8-12 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with HV power systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- Deep expertise in medium and high voltage distribution and substation design
- Knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure and Uptime Institute standards
- Experience leading utility interconnection and coordination processes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering of HV systems for hyperscale data centers
- Develop substation layouts, protection schemes, and relay coordination
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and stability studies
- Coordinate with utilities and lead interconnection processes
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Support design reviews, construction, and commissioning activities
