Job summary

Brindley Engineering Corporation is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead and support refinery maintenance and capital projects. You will design electrical systems, define standards, and ensure reliability and availability of critical equipment across projects in a refinery setting.

The role requires a P.E. license and 10+ years of experience, with leadership responsibilities and strong collaboration across maintenance, instrument, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (required).
• P.E. license required.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with HV equipment and substations up to 138 kV preferred.
• Ability to manage projects with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design moderately complex electrical systems for capital projects.
• Support maintenance technicians with field problems during project execution.
• Develop refinery electrical standards per NFPA codes and vendor recommendations.
• Develop turnaround work scopes and capture them in concept phase.
• Provide calculations and settings for UPS, motors, transformers, relays, and related equipment.
• Review and approve electrical system studies up to 138 kV.
