Job summary

Brindley Engineering Corporation seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and execution of complex electrical systems for refinery capital projects. You will guide installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical distribution equipment and substation components, ensuring reliability and safety across projects.

You will also mentor maintenance teams, update standards with NFPA and vendor inputs, and support major turnarounds and high-voltage work up to 138 kV.

Qualifications

• Educational: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years in related refinery electrical work.
• Licensure: P.E. preferred.
• Technical Skills: SAP, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations; internet familiarity.
• Management: Experience mentoring and leading teams.
• Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; good organization.

Responsibilities

• Design moderately complex electrical systems for capital projects and substation specs.
• Assist and support Maintenance Technicians with field problems during project execution.
• Review and develop refinery electrical standards with vendors and NFPA codes.
• Develop turnaround work scopes and capture in the conceptual phase.
• Provide calculations/settings for UPS, motors, transformers, relays, and related equipment.
• Act as electrical SME for capital projects including compressor control upgrades.
• Review and approve electrical system studies for refinery up to 138 kV; update SKM models.
