Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking a Sr Engineer for Charging Systems - Functions to lead development and software implementation of base charging systems in our Zero Transmission group (formerly eMobility). You will work with feature and component owners to ensure cohesive software and network communication across ECUs and explore advanced control strategies for electrified powertrains.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least six years in EV

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Six years of experience in electric powertrain, charging, and high voltage systems development.
• Experience with vehicle networks (CAN) and embedded controls for EV projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead function development and software implementation of base charging systems.
• Ensure functions are integrated into ECUs and enable cohesive software/network communication.
• Investigate advanced control strategies for efficient electrified powertrains and high-power charging concepts.
• Collaborate with global teams and external partners to align DTNA charging requirements with international standards.
