Job summary
Daimler Truck North America in Portland, OR seeks a Sr Engineer for Charging Systems—Functions to lead function development and software implementation of base charging systems, coordinating with feature and component owners to ensure proper ECU integration and cohesive software/network communication.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with six years of EV powertrain experience.
- Six years of software/controls development for electric vehicles and vehicle networks (CAN).
- Experience with vehicle charging station communication protocols and mechatronic systems in automobiles.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Lead function development and software implementation for base charging systems.
- Ensure functions implemented into ECUs with cohesive software/network communication.
- Investigate advanced control strategies for electrified powertrains.
- Collaborate with global teams and external partners on charging strategies.
