Capital Area Food Bank seeks a Senior Hunger Strategies Specialist to lead the DC region's Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) activities, oversee enrollment, reporting, and site monitoring, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with DC Health and FRESHFARM to advance nutrition education and participation.

This position requires a BA/BS or an AA with experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS in a related field or AA with 2-3 years of related experience.
• Experience with database software and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Spanish fluency preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage CSFP caseload and participation in the DC region.
• Submit weekly participation reports and monthly rosters.
• Lead CSFP enrollment, recertification, and site monitoring activities.
• Coordinate with DC Health and partners for trainings and resources.
• Prepare regulatory reports and client newsletters.
• Train staff and site leaders on CSFP processes.
