A Day in the Life
Program Coordination:
  • Coordinate and oversee the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and Senior Congregate Program.
  • Ensure the smoothoperationsof the programs.
  • Maintain excellent relationships and communication with partners.
Compliance and Standards:
  • Ensure compliance withDepartmentof Human Services (DHS) and Regional Food Bank standards for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program and Senior Congregate Program.
  • Work with partners tomaintain100% CSFP distribution.
  • Aid in developing program strategies and plans.
  • Accountable for training new program partners.
  • Coordinate in-person and/or virtual training sessions for the program.
  • Arrange DHS Civil Rights training for partners. Distribute program materials.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Conduct annual, bi-annualor asneededsite visits to partner locations. Check compliance withDepartmentof Human Services and the Regional Food Bank standards.
  • Place internal monthly orders for program partners.
  • Partner with operations to ensure quality control and inventory for commodity box programs.
Regulatory Updates:
  • Stay informed about changes in federal regulations.
  • Update program partners,policiesand materials as needed.
Administrative Duties:
  • Coordinate the creation of new program partner accounts in Navision.
  • Establish delivery details between the departments involved.
Helpful Functions:
  • Aid in research on senior food insecurity programs and services.
  • Maintain involvement withappropriate senior-specificgroups and organizations.
  • Work with regional food pantries to improve services for seniors within the community.
  • Assistwith teamprojects asassigned.
  • Promote senior programs at various community events.
  • Program presentations to new partners and community groups as needed.
Cross Training & Team Engagement
  • Share best practices between Moore Food & Resource Center (FRC) and Food for Senior team to improve program delivery.
  • Facilitate joint training sessions to ensure both teams comprehend each other's workflows and responsibilities.
  • Develop& maintainmutual resources and toolkits for efficient case management and reporting.
