Qualifications

• Must be willing to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency.
• Must maintain certification in Prevention and Safety Strategies, CPR and Direct Care In-Service.
• One year of supervisory experience over employees and one year of direct care experience OR two years of direct care experience.
• Must be willing and able to provide hands-on assistance to residents with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, monitor, and coordinate the resident-based services (IPP).
• Provide and monitor behavioral training including acquisition (eating, dressing, personal hygiene, social, housekeeping and life skills) and reduction programs as needed.
• Provide safety/supervision and custodial care of residents; make rounds and document as required.
• Ensure and provide housecleaning and laundry services; maintain cleanliness of chairs, furniture, and linen.
• Document and report unusual and/or significant events in a timely manner to supervisors.
• Read the log book and other pertinent documents relevant to the operation of the home/unit.
• Maintain timesheet accuracy and submit on time; monitor attendance and ensure coverage levels.
• Complete and maintain required training; ensure staff complete trainings and certifications.
• Monitor, in-service, motivate and direct staff; complete performance evaluations and expectations.
• Assist in hiring process and participate in interviews; recommendations for hire and disciplinary actions.
• Attend staff meetings; resident planning and review meetings as assigned.
