Inventure, a fast-growing energy-sector company in Houston, seeks a Senior HR Generalist to partner with employees and leaders. You will handle employee relations, HR operations, benefits, leave administration, payroll coordination, and policy implementation in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires hands-on compliance knowledge, the ability to work independently in a hybrid model (minimum 3 days on-site), and experience with Rippling HRIS and ATS.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Rippling HRIS is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of HR generalist experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting a multi-state workforce across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations, compliance, HR operations, performance management, benefits, leave administration, payroll coordination, and policy implementation.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Administer core HR programs: compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, and health and safety.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR matters and policy interpretation.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws; support audit readiness, I-9 processes, and personnel file maintenance.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Partner with leadership on employee engagement, talent planning, and change management.

Houston, TX (Hybrid – minimum 3 days/week on-site)

Our client, a fast-growing company in the energy sector, is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to serve as a trusted partner to employees and leaders across the organization. This role supports employee relations, compliance, HR operations, performance management, benefits, leave administration, payroll coordination, and policy implementation. It requires sound judgment, strong ownership, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with required training, certifications, and licensure (safety training, anti-harassment training, aptitude exams, etc.)
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Administers core HR programs: compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, and occupational health and safety
  • Serves as first point of contact for employment-related inquiries, escalating complex or sensitive matters as needed
  • Advises managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR best practices
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; supports audit readiness, I-9 processes, and personnel file maintenance
  • Assists with payroll processing
  • Partners with leadership on employee engagement, talent planning, and change management initiatives

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Rippling HRIS is required — this is a non-negotiable qualification. Candidates without direct Rippling experience will not be considered.
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS) also preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–10 years of HR generalist experience preferred
  • Experience supporting a multi-state workforce across multiple jurisdictions strongly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law and demonstrated ability to independently resolve routine to moderately complex HR matters
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
