Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 5+ years HR experience in manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with HR processes and tools including background checks, STAR interviewing, DISC assessments, and competency models.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions and concerns.
• Assist with resolving employee issues and conflicts and conduct investigations when necessary.
• Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
• Support the performance review process, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
• Assist managers with performance issues and improvement plans.
• Identify training needs and coordinate employee training programs.
• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
• Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs and provide guidance to employees regarding benefits enrollment and claims.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with HR reports, metrics, and other HR-related data.
• Assist in developing, updating, and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure consistent application of company policies and practices.
• Support HR projects and initiatives focused on improving HR processes and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on organizational development projects.
• Coach and guide leaders on personnel-related matters.
