The Perimeter College Human Resources Department at Georgia State University is looking for a dynamic Senior Human Resources Manager to provide training, create and facilitate training courses, and maintain training documentation, job aids, and training manuals. The Senior Human Resources Manager is critical in managing the lifecycle of staff hires.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Senior Human Resources Manager are the following:
Oversee the life cycle for full-time staff. Manage Human Resources (HR) processes related to the recruitment and hiring of all full-time staff. Manage the search committee process, which includes coordinating with search committees to ensure deadlines are met and University policies and procedures are followed. Serve as an administrator for all staff searches in the Taleo hiring system. Assist with managing staff onboardingand offboarding. Manage staff processes such as performance evaluation, training and development, and orientations. Manage all staff databases.Supervise assigned Human Resources staff. Conduct periodic reviews and annual performance evaluations for assigned HR staff. Ensure the HR unit is exercising proper internal controls, policies, and procedures. Manage extra compensation and supplemental pay requests. Oversee the staff evaluation process. Consult with hiring managers when creating new staff positions. Consult with supervisors regarding in-range adjustments and reclassifications.Serve as the first line resource for HR concerns and inquiries (e.g., payroll, faculty contracts, hiring status, purchases, job grades, and salaries. Ensure there is timely communication and follow-up with college faculty and staff regarding issues. Perform HR duties that encompass the employment lifecycle (e.g., hiring, onboarding, training, promotion, re-assignments, terminations), record in appropriate systems, and coordinate with HR.Provide materials, information, and support that assist the College HR Officer with compensation processes (e.g., salary grades, pay ranges). Prepare and develop reports, correspondence, and communications to support a wide array of projects and processes, including weekly updates. Serve as the College's final approver in the absence of the College HR Officer.Develop and administer training to the departments, individuals, and search committees as new information, HR processes, systems, policies, and procedures are established by the college or university.Serve on University and College committees as appropriate. Assist in maintaining HR units' email accounts. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and nine years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or other applicable fields of study desired.Demonstrated supervisory experience.Georgia State University experience.Knowledge and demonstrated experience in at least two human resources areas, including: employee relations, employment and labor law, compensation, staffing and employment, training and development, performance coaching and management, and organizational development.Demonstrated interpersonal skills and understanding of group dynamics. Successful track record of establishing credibility and trust with a diverse client group.Demonstrated proficiency with business applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite and human resource information systems.Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, and influencing skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver formal presentations or training.College/Business Unit
