Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Baltimore area, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to support all aspects of human resources with a primary focus on recruitment and employee relations. This is a hands-on role that partners closely with leadership and employees to attract top talent, promote a positive workplace culture, and ensure HR best practices are followed across the organization.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possess strong relationship-building skills, and have experience handling complex employee relations matters while leading full-cycle recruiting efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions across manufacturing, operations, and corporate functions.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidate selection processes.
- Manage job postings, applicant tracking systems, offer letters, and onboarding activities.
- Build talent pipelines and maintain relationships with local workforce organizations, schools, and community partners.
- Support workforce planning initiatives to meet current and future hiring needs.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace concerns, policies, and employment matters.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Support performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution processes.
- Guide leaders on employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Assist with employee communications and organizational change initiatives.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and workforce metrics.
- Support benefits administration and leave management as needed.
- Participate in employee engagement activities and plant-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including recruitment and employee relations.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or production environment strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving employee relations issues.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Compensation:
$85,000 - $120,000 annually, based on experience.
Schedule:
Fully onsite, Monday-Friday in Baltimore, MD.
