Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Forensic Human Factors expert to manage diverse consulting projects, perform field investigations and testing, and prepare expert reports for legal proceedings.

The role involves collaborating with teams, reviewing literature and standards, and maintaining meticulous case files. A master’s degree in a related field is required; PhD and BCPE/PE license are preferred, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Cognitive, Experimental, or Industrial Psychology; Neuroscience; Industrial & Systems Engineering; or Human Factors or related field.
• PhD preferred in same fields.
• BCPE certification and/or Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a legal or proactive consulting practice.
• Complete site and product inspections.
• Meet with colleagues, clients, and other professionals to discuss cases or projects.
• Prepare expert reports, deposition summaries, and affidavits.
• Research statutes, regulations, and standards; provide written analyses.
• Organize and manage case files and evidence.
• Provide deposition and trial testimony.
• Track billable hours per case.
