Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a principal to lead our Forensic Human Factors practice in the United States, focusing on evaluating safety, human performance, risk perception, and decision-making in product interaction contexts. You will manage multi-disciplinary projects, conduct field investigations, and oversee research reviews to support complex cases.

The role requires a Ph.D. in a relevant field and 5+ years of litigation consulting experience, with preferred BCPE certification or PE license.

Qualifications

• PhD required in a relevant field; strong research background and publications preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience in human factors litigation consulting, including inspections, reports, and depositions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a legal consulting practice in human factors.
• Complete site inspections and field investigations.
• Meet with colleagues and clients to discuss cases and projects.
• Prepare expert reports and affidavits for litigation.
• Organize and manage case files and exhibits for depositions and trials.
• Provide deposition and trial testimony when required.
• Track billable hours and case progress for client reporting.
