Job summary

Rimkus, a global engineering and technical consulting firm, seeks a senior human factors litigation consultant for the Forensic Human Factors group. You will manage a range of cases, perform field investigations and testing, and develop technical data.

The role requires a Ph.D. in a relevant field and 5+ years of litigation experience; US work eligibility; preferred BCPE/PE; travel 25-50%.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field with 5+ years in human factors litigation consulting.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Board Certification from BCPE and/or Professional Engineer License preferred.
• Experience with perception-response time, nighttime visibility, driver detection distances, and ADAS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a legal consulting practice.
• Complete site inspections.
• Meet with colleagues, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
• Prepare expert reports and affidavits.
• Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
• Provide deposition and trial testimony.
• Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
