Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) Advisor to ensure compliance with OSHA, U.S. Navy instructions, state/local laws, and Oceaneering standards for URC/SROMC programs.

The role reports to the HSSE Manager and works with URC and government stakeholders to manage safety, HAZMAT, and weight/material handling programs. The advisor will implement HSSE management systems, conduct safety investigations, and support program planning with Operations staff, while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HSSE, facility maintenance and HAZMAT programs.
• Ability to coordinate facilities staff and outside contractors and provide oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain safety programs to prevent injuries and equipment damage for SROMC.
• Support and instill a safety culture within the SROMC team following Life Saving Rules and URC requirements.
• Provide safety oversight of high hazard tasks to prevent injuries and damage.
• Implement HSSE Management Systems for the SROMC in line with policies and regulations.
• Provide resources and technical expertise for injury reduction and HSSE program management.
• Assist with worker training on safety laws, hazardous condition monitoring, and onboarding.
