Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an HSSE Advisor to plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs for a 24-hour offshore operational environment. The role focuses on night shift safety, regulatory compliance, and ongoing improvement of health, safety, security, and environmental practices.

Responsibilities include supporting leadership, updating policies, reviewing risk assessments, conducting training, and leading HSSE projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work evening-to-night hours, 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with rotational shifts.
• Valid TWIC Card or ability to obtain within first month of employment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HSSE point of contact for Night Shift operations, supporting leadership and workforce on safety, health, security, and environmental matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable HSSE policies, regulations, and industrial processes and ensure their effective application.
• Review JSEAs and Risk Assessments, identify hazards and provide safety guidance to night shift teams.
• Verify workforce JSEA understanding through pre-job briefings, field engagement, and documented acknowledgments.
• Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and occupational diseases, including interviews and root cause analysis.
• Report or review findings from incident investigations, inspections, or environmental testing.
• Inspect and audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment for hazards and compliance.
• Lead HSSE projects and implement policies and initiatives.
• Coordinate worker HSSE training in areas such as safety laws, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
• Analyze and interpret statistical data related to lagging indicators.
