Job summary

Worley in Long Beach, CA, seeks an experienced HSE Manager II to lead Health, Safety and Environmental programs across large EPC projects. You will provide strategic direction, develop plans, and drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement to protect people and the environment.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and field teams, ensure regulatory compliance, lead incident investigations, and mentor HSE staff while delivering measurable safety

Qualifications

• Typically 12+ years of progressive HSE leadership experience
• Significant EPC/EPCm or large-scale construction project experience
• Strong understanding of construction hazards and risk controls
• Experience leading HSE programs on major engineering, procurement, and construction projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership on HSE strategy and performance

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Health, Safety, and Environmental activities across projects
• Develop and maintain project-specific HSE plans and objectives
• Serve as primary HSE advisor to project leadership
• Lead HSE execution across major EPC construction projects
• Drive a proactive safety culture with hazard recognition and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations and standards
• Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions
• Monitor HSE performance metrics and leading indicators
• Lead organizational change to improve HSE processes and tools
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure safe execution of high-risk activities
