Job summary

Worley is seeking an HSE Manager II in Long Beach, CA to lead Health, Safety, and Environmental activities on large EPC/EP CM projects. You will drive a proactive safety culture, develop HSE plans, and guide project teams to meet regulatory and client requirements.

You will influence senior leaders on HSE strategy, manage incidents and audits, and mentor staff across the HSE organization while partnering with contractors and customers for safe, sustainable project delivery.

Qualifications

• Typically 12+ years of progressive HSE leadership experience across EPC/EPCM, industrial, energy, chemicals, resources or construction projects.
• Significant EPC contractor experience and experience leading HSE programs on major projects.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices, contractor management, field execution and project delivery processes.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership on HSE strategy, performance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for Health, Safety, and Environmental activities across projects.
• Develop and maintain project-specific HSE plans, programs, procedures, and performance objectives.
• Serve as primary HSE advisor to project managers and leadership teams.
• Lead HSE execution across major EPC construction projects in alignment with objectives and customer requirements.
• Drive a proactive safety culture emphasizing hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and accountability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics and leading indicators; report findings and drive improvement.
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Lead organizational change initiatives to improve HSE processes, systems, tools and performance.
