Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Manager, Health, Safety and Environment to support the expansion of our Durham campus to include Large Molecule drug substance production at the new RTP, NC facility. You will develop, implement, and track HSE deliverables and readiness prior to operations.

The role acts as primary HSE contact on the LMO SLT, leading Occupational Safety programs across the Durham site and driving a proactive safety culture while ensuring environmental protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or related field.
• Professional HSE certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) a plus.
• 8+ years of HSE program development/management experience in a manufacturing/laboratory environment, preferably biopharma.
• Experience supporting the design and startup of new LMO/ADP facilities and manufacturing operations (PHAs, P&ID/design documentation review) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and track completion of HSE deliverables and readiness prior to start of operations.
• Lead Occupational Safety programs across the Durham campus and act as primary HSE contact for the LMO SLT.
