Job summary

Mazama Energy is seeking a Safety Manager to lead and evolve the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental programs across geology, drilling, construction, and corporate facilities. You will ensure compliance with OSHA and related regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture across all operations.

The role requires seven-plus years in safety leadership within energy or industrial settings, strong incident investigation skills, and a track record of improving safety metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety programs and teams across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve Mazama Energy's HSE programs.
• Establish safety policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Lead initiatives to promote a positive safety culture and employee engagement.
• Develop annual safety goals, KPIs, and monitor performance trends.
• Oversee contractor safety management and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead investigations into incidents, injuries, and environmental events.
• Coordinate safety training, audits, drills, and emergency response planning.
• Support field operations, laboratory, drilling, and construction activities with safety planning.
