Job summary

Actalent is seeking an HSE Manager to provide leadership for health, safety, and environmental processes on major construction projects in Sarasota, FL. You will drive a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with project leadership to proactively manage risk and incidents.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a safety-related field, CHST certification, and at least 5 years in construction EHS.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent field.
CHST certification and strong knowledge of EHS regulations are required.
Experience conducting EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations in construction.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Project Manager to develop and maintain an effective site-specific EHS plan.
Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and vendor/owner personnel safety.
Lead quarterly on-site EHS audits and implement corrective actions.
Conduct inspections to verify regulatory and policy compliance.
Investigate accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Advise on Industrial Hygiene protocols and perform environmental monitoring.
Manage Drug-Free Workplace policy and related testing protocols.
Provide EHS training and new hire orientation.
Deliver weekly EHS updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Foster a strong safety culture and practical field solutions.
