Job summary

Airswift is seeking an HSE Field Coordinator to support a major renewable energy construction project in Brooklyn, NY. The role will be based at a marine terminal facility in Brooklyn, overseeing on-site health, safety, and environmental requirements and promoting safe work practices across large teams.

Preferred candidates bring 10+ years of HSE experience, union workforce exposure, and strong communication skills to drive safety initiatives and incident investigations across multiple sites in

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HSE experience supporting construction projects.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior HSE professionals.
• GWO certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in common business software and the ability to learn project-specific systems.
• Experience working with union workforces, preferably within the New York area.
• Proven ability to provide HSE support on large-scale, complex, and fast-paced projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior on-site HSE representative, promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Drive field implementation of safety initiatives, including safety leadership coaching, proactive observations, and reporting programs.
• Partner collaboratively with contractor HSE personnel and site management teams.
• Support HSE reporting and data entry activities, including documentation of observations, near misses, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Conduct follow-up activities related to incident investigations, audits, self-assessments, verification efforts, and action tracking.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across all site activities.
