Job summary

Brookfield Renewable N.A. seeks an HSSE Specialist to implement and coordinate a comprehensive Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Management System. You will evaluate programs, coach staff, and improve contractor safety across New England and ROC locations.

The role requires OSHA awareness, effective communication, and training delivery for safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Occasional travel to Maine/New Hampshire offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible Health, Safety, Security and Environmental program experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent training experience.
• BA/BS in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing annual safety, environmental and security goals.
• Maintain and implement HSSE policies and procedures.
• Support risk management programs within Brookfield's HSSE system.
• Coach employees and contractors on OSHA standards and Brookfield policies.
• Coordinate internal and third-party HSSE audits.
• Deliver HSSE training including Confined Space and Fall Protection.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Develop standard HSSE procedures in coordination with staff.
