Job summary

Brookfield Renewable is seeking an HSSE Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of the HSSE program across development, construction and operations assets in the United States. This role reports to the COO and travels regularly to sites, driving regulatory compliance and Brookfield standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of HSS&E experience, familiarity with OSHA/EPA/NERC/NFPA, and HSSE qualifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, ASP or IOSH.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in HSS&E within renewable energy
• Experience building HSSE management systems
• Experience across development, construction and operations
• HSSE qualifications preferred (NEBOSH, CSP, ASP, IOSH)
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA/NERC/NFPA standards
• Willing to travel across the US

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a portfolio-wide HSSE management system
• Ensure compliance with Brookfield HSSE standards across asset lifecycles
• Lead HSSE training programs for employees and contractors
• Coach managers, supervisors and site teams in HSSE
• Lead HSSE incident investigations and CAPA implementation
• Oversee HSSE audits, reporting and KPI tracking
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure HSSE performance
• Drive continuous HSSE improvement across the portfolio
