Job summary

Is-International-Services seeks a seasoned HSE professional to lead health, safety and environmental oversight on utility-scale energy storage construction sites. You will act as a Construction Management Team member, develop and enforce site-specific HSE plans, and ensure compliance with regulations while guiding contractors.

With 10+ years in heavy construction and safety certifications, you will independently resolve complex issues, conduct trainings, lead incident investigations, and drive

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy construction with safety certification (e.g., CHST)
• Proven track record implementing construction safety programs
• Experience with hoisting and rigging safety guidelines
• Experience with NFPA 70 - energized equipment clearances
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

• Act as technical advisor to project CMT and contractors
• Independently determine approaches to resolve HSE issues
• Monitor equipment, structures and work to ensure compliance with safety and environmental plans
• Stop work when unsafe and implement corrective actions
• Conduct weekly safety walks and provide feedback
• Lead project HSE orientation sessions and trainings for site personnel
• Plan and coordinate HSE training programs across project phases
• Ensure environmental monitoring and instrumentation are maintained
• Lead RCA investigations for near misses and incidents
• Attend tailboard meetings and JSA reviews
• Lead and develop content for weekly safety meetings with CMT and contractor management
• Maintain Fluence online project HSE data and records
