Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional in Torrance, CA to implement policies, develop safety programs, and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities.

The role focuses on design of safe work environments, guidance on Cal/OSHA compliance, and collaboration with regulatory bodies. Requires 5 years in HSE and strong knowledge of safety engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 5 years of directly related experience in health and safety practice.
• Strong experience and technical knowledge with occupational safety and injury prevention programs.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains company policies adhering to state health and safety regulations.
• Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes health and safety recommendations accordingly.
• Develops and implements health and safety programs
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating health and safety policy and procedure manuals.
• Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Serves as contact with federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used safety engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.
