Job summary

RXO is seeking an HRIS Analyst, Time & Absence to administer Workday Time Tracking and Absence, partnering with HR, Payroll, IT, and stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliant processes.

In this role you will optimize configurations, support releases, and drive continuous improvement to enhance the employee experience across North America, with a focus on U.S. wage laws and SOX controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR/IS/Business.
  • 5+ years of HRIS, timekeeping, payroll, or HR tech experience.
  • Experience supporting Workday Time Tracking and Absence.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, configuration, and security.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder skills.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Workday Time Tracking and Absence.
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Support system releases, testing, and implementation.
  • Maintain documentation and configuration records.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S., Canada, and Mexico wage laws.
  • Collaborate with Payroll on time off plans and mappings.
  • Develop and maintain HR reports and dashboards.
  • Identify improvements and support UAT, deployment, and change management.

Compensation for this role is 79,000-90,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

The HRIS Analyst, Time & Absence is responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of Workday Time Tracking and Absence. This role partners with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate system configuration, data integrity, reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. The analyst serves as a subject matter expert, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting scalable solutions that enhance the employee experience and support business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities
System Administration & Support
  • Configure and maintain Workday Time Tracking and Absence, including eligibility rules, calculations, schedules, and business processes.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve them.
  • Support system releases, enhancements, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configuration records.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S., Canada, and Mexico wage and employment laws.
  • Partner with Payroll to support time off plans, earnings code mapping, and issue resolution.
Data Integrity & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and reliable workforce data across HR systems.
  • Perform audits, reconciliations, data corrections, and mass data updates.
  • Support SOX controls and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure adherence to governance standards.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support HR and business decision-making.
  • Analyze workforce data and provide actionable insights.
  • Validate reporting accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support payroll audit and reconciliation reporting.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and system enhancements.
  • Gather requirements and recommend scalable HR technology solutions.
  • Participate in system implementations, integrations, and optimization initiatives.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment activities, and change management efforts.
  • Train and support users on Workday functionality and reporting.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of HRIS, timekeeping, payroll, or HR technology experience, preferably within a multinational organization.
  • Experience supporting Workday Time Tracking and Absence.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, business process configuration, and security administration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, recruiting, and talent management processes.
  • Experience with Workday implementations, upgrades, or integrations.
  • Workday certification(s).
  • Experience in a SOX-compliant or publicly traded environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
