Temp Senior HRIS Analyst - Workday
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior HRIS Analyst with deep Workday expertise to shape and scale our HR technology ecosystem. In this role, you will move beyond day-to-day system support to play a strategic part in translating business needs into well-designed Workday solutions that enable growth, efficiency, and exceptional employee experiences.
The Senior HRIS Analyst will partner closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize Workday functionality, support enterprise initiatives, and ensure data integrity, compliance, and an exceptional end-user experience. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of HR technology implementation methodologies. This role will serve as a subject matter expert across Workday Core HCM, Learning, and Talent & Performance, supporting both operational excellence and strategic HR initiatives.
System Configuration & Optimization
- Serve as a Workday HCM subject matter expert, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing business processes, calculated fields, and module functionality.
- Lead and support system enhancements, releases, and new feature implementations in partnership with People Technology Leads.
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation and improve efficiency by analyzing current-state processes and future business needs.
- Stay current on Workday releases and best practices and recommend relevant improvements.
Data Integrity & Compliance
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity through audits, validation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Build and maintain Workday reports and dashboard.
- Support compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations, including SOX and GDPR, and assist with audits as needed.
Projects & Business Partnership
- Lead and support Workday initiatives, including module implementations, business process redesigns, and global rollouts.
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
- Manage key implementation activities, including requirements, design, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Collaborate across teams to anticipate evolving business needs and continuously improve HCM solutions.
System Administration & Support
- Troubleshoot complex Workday issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Support employee lifecycle processes, mass data updates, system testing, and scheduled maintenance.
- Maintain system documentation, process guides, and support procedures.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience in configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and experience configuring Workday HCM, Compensation, Talent & Performance, and Security.
- Experience supporting or leading Workday implementations, enhancements, or other significant system changes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Knowledge of HR data privacy, security, and compliance requirements, including SOX and GDPR.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field.
- Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience supporting a global workforce.
- Strong experience with Workday reporting, including creating and maintaining standard and ad hoc reports.
