Job summary

The Voleon Group seeks a Senior People Business Partner to serve as a trusted partner to leaders across our organizations and scaling businesses. You will translate business needs into practical people solutions that enable teams to perform and scale.

You will mentor junior HRBPs, lead day-to-day HRBP support for your areas, and collaborate with the People team to drive programs that improve engagement, performance, and organizational design, including California and New York employment law

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders.
• Experience in scaling companies and a more established organization.
• Strong command of core HRBP disciplines including performance management, employee relations, and leadership coaching.
• Ability to operate independently with sound judgment on when to align, elevate, or seek input.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor or support the development of more junior team members.
• Practical, solutions-oriented approach with influence and decision-making skills.
• Solid knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
• Exposure to or experience supporting global teams across regions.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executives, managers, and employees to provide thoughtful, pragmatic HR guidance and resolve complex people-related issues
• Independently lead day-to-day HRBP support for your business areas, using strong judgment to determine when to elevate, align, or seek input
• Work closely with People team and business leaders to proactively identify and implement people initiatives that improve team effectiveness, engagement, and performance
• Execute talent and performance management processes, including talent reviews and calibrations
• Coach managers and leaders to strengthen their capabilities in delivering effective feedback, performance management, and team leadership
• Identify and support organizational design and change efforts as teams grow and evolve
• Serve as a key resource on employee relations, HR policies, and compliance issues, including California and New York employment laws
• Mentor and support more junior HRBPs, contributing to team development and consistency in how we operate
• Collaborate with the broader People team to ensure aligned and effective delivery of People programs
• Although some portions of the role are tactical, your primary purpose is to work as a strategic business partner
