Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or a related field and 7 years’ experience working in Human Resource field required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Must have strong employee relations and performance management experience – minimum 5 years.
Must have strong recruitment experience – minimum 5 years.
Must have minimum 2 years freight forwarding/Transportation industry experience or experience in a 4PL/Contract Logistics environment.

Responsibilities

Implements, interprets and administers personnel and labor relations programs, projects, tasks, or initiatives that align with company goals and objectives. Responsibilities include employment, employee relations, labor relations, compensation administration, performance management, benefits, recognition, training and planning of staffing requirements and workforce communications.
Effectively administers existing programs in accordance with policies and procedures including Equal Employment Opportunity, and Affinity Action compliance.
Provides leadership and guidance to employees, peers, and management on workforce goals and objectives by sharing best practices.
Hires, trains, evaluates, and terminates assigned personnel.
Manages human resource administration to ensure the effective implementation of procedures regarding new hires, promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, grievance process, and terminations.
