Alarm.com, based at Tysons HQ, seeks a Senior HR Business Partner to support 350+ software engineers. You will advise on people-related matters, lead core HR processes, and deliver a high-quality employee experience aligned with business objectives.

Expect in-person collaboration, coaching leaders, and partnering across HR functions. Responsibilities include performance reviews, development, hiring, succession planning, and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years in a HR Business Partner role.
• Experience supporting engineering teams preferred.
• Proven employee relations guidance with fair outcomes.
• Strong client-service focus and relationship-building across levels.
• Collaborative with HR teams to plan and improve processes.
• Able to manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables with prioritization.
• Commitment to excellence, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Takes ownership, embraces challenges, and grows with the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic HR support, coaching, and partnership to Software Engineering teams.
• Guide leaders on strategic HR guidance and day-to-day HR execution.
• Build relationships to understand business needs and challenges.
• Design people strategies for organizational effectiveness and satisfaction.
• Partner with leaders to manage organizational change.
• Assess development needs and implement solutions.
• Offer HR expertise in performance, relations, leadership, coaching, and growth.
• Guide managers through complex employee relations matters, investigations, and PIP processes.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal, and HR Operations to scale the business.
• Perform other HR-related duties as needed.
