Job summary

Alarm.com is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support a 350+ software engineering team from our Tysons HQ. You’ll partner with leaders, coach managers, and drive HR initiatives across performance, development, and employee relations.

You will lead the delivery of core HR processes, collaborate with cross-functional HR teams, and help sustain a high-quality employee experience aligned with business goals. This role requires an in-person presence, four days a week at the Tysons office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in a HR Business Partner role.
• Experience supporting engineering teams is preferred but not required.
• Proven employee relations guidance with fair outcomes.
• Strong client-service focus and ability to build relationships across levels.
• Collaborative with broader HR team to analyze, plan, and improve processes.
• Ability to balance multiple time-sensitive deliverables and prioritize.
• Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR partner support to the Software Engineering organization.
• Coach leaders and advise on HR processes, including performance reviews and development.
• Diagnose business needs and design people strategies for organizational effectiveness.
• Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and performance improvement plans.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, L&D, Compensation, Legal, and HR Ops to scale the business.
• Perform other HR-related duties as needed.
