Job summary

PetSmart, Inc. is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to partner with DC leadership in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on workforce planning, change management, engagement, and retention for 400+ associates and 40+ leaders.

The role emphasizes hands-on, proactive HR support, coaching, and implementing training to improve organizational effectiveness and performance in a fast-paced distribution center environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years HR or related experience.
• BA/BS in Human Resources preferred; PHR/SPHR certification a preferred.
• Experience in organizational planning, change management and leadership development.
• Experience in a distribution center environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach at all levels.
• Ability to be flexible and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sr. HR Manager to develop and deliver the HR strategy for the DC.
• Use metrics, data and analytical feedback to assess health of the organization and plan improvements.
• Provide HR strategic support and coaching to DC leadership and collaborate with leadership team.
• Maintain communications with Distribution Center Leadership and HRM; address associate relations issues.
• Advise management on organizational planning, salary administration and development.
• Facilitate training on diversity & inclusion and leadership development.
• Support talent management and performance management initiatives; coach performance.
