Job summary

Garrett Evangelical is seeking an AVP for Human Resources and Title IX Coordination in Evanston, IL. You will lead HR functions and oversee the Title IX program, guiding policy, payroll, benefits, and compliance for 150+ employees.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong communication, and a track record of policy development and organizational improvement within higher education settings. MBA and SHRM/ HRCI credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or its equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and administration for all HR functions and Title IX program.
• Lead HR generalist and collaborate with faculty, staff, and leadership to support mission.
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits, and compliance with federal/state laws.
• Develop and update policies, training, and employee relations strategies.
• Manage hiring, recruitment, and on-boarding for diverse staff and student workers.
• Coordinate Title IX investigations and training, ensuring timely compliance.
