Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager to own the strategy and architecture of our People technology ecosystem. You’ll define future HRIS architecture, drive HR tech transformations, and ensure scalable solutions across HR, Finance, Identity, IT, and recruiting.

You will partner with HR and Enterprise IT leadership to deliver modern, automated, and secure People platforms, enabling speed, autonomy, data access, and reliable operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise HR technology experience.
• Hands-on experience with a major enterprise HRIS platform; Workday experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record owning complex HR technology transformations from strategy to operations.
• Strong understanding of HR technology architecture, integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Ability to evaluate technology and operating-model tradeoffs beyond fixed requirements.
• Experience working across shared technology environments or complex org boundaries.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior leaders and govern partners.
• Experience managing implementation partners, vendors, SOWs, SLAs, and cross-functional programs.
• Knowledge of HR data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato is a plus.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building capabilities where playbooks are not written.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, architecture, roadmap, and lifecycle of RV Tech's People technology ecosystem.
• Help define and execute our future-state HRIS architecture and operating model.
• Lead major People technology implementations and transformations from architecture to deployment and operations.
• Partner with HR leadership to translate workforce strategy into scalable technology solutions.
• Own the integration architecture between People systems and Finance, Identity, IT, recruiting, and other enterprise platforms.
• Establish governance, data ownership, SLAs, and operating boundaries across teams and vendors.
• Build a modern employee technology experience using automation and AI to simplify interactions.
• Partner with HR to build a strong HR Service Desk integrated into our enterprise support model.
• Own vendor and implementation-partner relationships including SOWs, delivery quality, and service levels.
• Ensure the integrity, privacy, security, and compliance of People data and platforms.
• Provide operational excellence and L2/L3 support for the People Systems and Technology portfolio.
