Job summary

The Jackson National Life Insurance Company seeks a Sr. HR Business Consultant in the Chicago area to partner with management across HR disciplines, delivering strategic and hands-on support to improve workforce effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

You will guide performance management, employee relations, organizational design, and workforce planning, leveraging Workday and aligning HR programs with business goals. A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of HR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8+ years of Human Resources experience resolving associate relations issues required.
• SHRM-CP preferred.
• PHR-HRCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and provides sound advice and consultation to respective client groups.
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
• Manages and resolves complex associate relations issues.
• Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Conducts regular meetings with respective business units.
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Partners with legal department as needed.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.
• Develops appropriate and effective performance corrective actions and measures.
• Works closely with management and associates to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
• Provides and develops HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
• Provides guidance in areas such as organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and staffing needs.
