Job summary

Target is seeking a Senior Human Resource Specialist to enable the HR operating model within Distribution and Receive Centers, delivering consistent HR processes, onboarding, workforce routines, and training while focusing on the team member experience.

You will partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to staff, onboard, and ensure timely, accurate recordkeeping and compliance, handling confidential information with discretion and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of administrative experience.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, computer systems (Excel, Word, O365).
• Strong customer/client service skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Anticipates problems and escalates when appropriate, prioritizes and organizes to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Ability to work with highly confidential information.
• Ability to take initiative and make fair decisions aligned with our strategy and values.
• Ability to multi-task and be a flexible team player.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding, workforce routines, and ensuring timely completion and accurate recordkeeping of required training.
• Provide guidance and operational support to leaders and team members navigating HR processes and organizational change.
• Interact regularly with site leadership, HR partners, and cross-functional teams; may engage with external candidates or vendors.
• Apply established HR best practices and procedures to support staffing, retention, engagement, and compliance.
