Job summary

The City of San Antonio seeks an experienced HR project manager to lead complex human resources initiatives within the Policy & Testing Division of the Human Resources Department. You will coordinate cross‑functional projects, prepare reports, and develop policy improvements while supervising staff as needed.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, five years of HR/administrative experience with supervision, and CJIS background checks. A Texas Driver's License is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of progressive professional experience in business, finance, management, or related field, with focus on Human Resources or organizational resource planning, including one year of supervisory or lead experience.
• Applicants must pass CJIS background check and maintain CJIS eligibility; disqualifiers listed in CJIS policy.
• Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates projects and activities between divisions, City departments, and external partners.
• Seeks and evaluates information; provides specialized reports as requested by management.
• Partners with departments to evaluate, develop, and implement operating policies and procedural improvements for HR processes.
• Prepares and delivers presentations and trainings as needed.
• Suggests and implements management solutions addressing issues in performance management and policy development.
• Assist in budgeting processes for the department or division.
