Job summary

AP Professionals in Rochester, NY is seeking a seasoned HR professional to oversee payroll for multiple entities, coordinate recruiting, and manage onboarding. This role combines hands-on payroll processing with HR administration, requiring strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

You will partner with Finance and our payroll provider, lead employee training, maintain records, and support benefits and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage full payroll for multiple entities and pay groups, from inputs to post-payroll reconciliation.
• Review timecards, earnings, deductions, benefit contributions, and employee changes.
• Serve as a primary resource for routine payroll questions, researching discrepancies and resolving issues with Finance and payroll provider.
• Maintain payroll calendars, procedures, system records, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate recruiting activities: requisitions, postings, interviews, and offers.
• Lead onboarding and new employee orientation, including paperwork and system access.
• Develop and provide payroll/HR training materials and support staff.
• Travel to off-site locations ~10% for training and employee meetings.
• Support benefits administration, leave administration, and HR reporting as needed.
