Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, seeks a Talent Services Senior Manager in its Chicago office. You will partner with senior leadership to deliver HR services across performance management, training and development, and policy administration.

You will oversee recruitment and onboarding, advise on benefits and compliance, manage employee relations and salary processes, and drive professional development programs for attorneys and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in HR, business management, or related field; law firm or professional services preferred.
• SHRM-CP/SCP certification or PHR/SPHR preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including Illinois laws and Chicago ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention for attorneys and staff; conduct new hire orientation.
• Collaborate with management to boost morale, engagement, and retention; promote professional growth.
• Advise on HR policies, benefits, FMLA, STD/LTD, and workers' compensation; ensure compliance.
• Oversee employee relations; coach managers; conduct performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Manage performance reviews, talent development, and manager training programs.
• Provide salary recommendations and assist annual salary/bonus administration.
• Develop workforce planning, career paths, and succession planning.
• Ensure accurate personnel records including I-9s and EEO files; maintain compliance.
• Develop, implement, and improve HR processes; support change management.
• Supervise legal support staff to deliver quality support to attorneys.
