Job summary

BD Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) seeks a Senior HR Specialist to address people and organizational challenges. You will partner with HR specialists and shared services, and support front-line managers through coaching and guidance.

Primary work location is Irvine, CA, onsite with a minimum four days in the office per week. You will resolve complex HR issues, conduct analyses, and help drive talent initiatives across the business units.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s degree in a related field)
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience with a bachelor’s degree; minimum 3 years with a master’s degree

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line manager coaching across HR topics including career development, pay review, performance management, and team dynamics.
• Resolve complex HR issues (tier 2) by partnering with COEs and the HR Solutions shared services team across Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations for assigned areas and business units.
• Conduct complex analysis, develop and propose alternative solutions, and provide recommendations for talent initiatives.
• Perform front line HR duties for the assigned business unit, advising management on local compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Assess HR issues requiring considerable judgment and risk management when enabling workforce policies do not exist.
• Develop and improve processes, tools, and systems in collaboration with HR COE teams.
