Job summary

MFS Investments is seeking a Senior HR Specialist to deliver high-quality employee experiences through HR administration, payroll guidance, benefits support, and leave management. Based on-site in Shelton, CT, you will partner with Payroll, Benefits, and HR teams to ensure accurate records and regulatory compliance.

You will manage leave programs (FMLA, STD/LTD, WC, state leaves) with a third-party vendor, handle immigration documentation, and drive process improvements in HR operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, Employee Services, Benefits Administration, or related HR function.
• At least 1 year experience supporting leave administration, including FMLA, disability programs, workers' compensation, and state leave laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, HR policies, and time-off programs.
• Support onboarding activities, including preparing new hire documentation and facilitating orientation.
• Maintain employee data within HRIS and partner with Payroll/Benefits to resolve issues.
• Coordinate immigration-related processes with external counsel and vendors.
• Review, process, and monitor invoices from immigration and other HR vendors for accuracy.
• Serve as the internal administrator and primary HR contact for all employee leave programs and coordinate with the third-party leave administrator.
